I recently pattern tested the East Coast Cardi, Bolero and Shrug by Tie Dye Diva Patterns. This was my first time testing TDDP.
I was really impressed with the thoroughness of Jen’s testing process. She really takes tester feedback into account and takes her time with writing the instructions. The pattern will release later this week in sizes 12 months – 9/10 years.

I pretested the crossover cardi version for my daughter, in the 18 month size. I used a thin mystery knit that I acquired on my trip to the LA Fabric District. My fabric has about 15-20% stretch widthwise, which is all that is required. I used a KAM snap for the closure. KAM snaps are so fun and easy to install! I’ve linked the KAM Snaps starter pack I purchased here. The sleeve was lengthened in later versions of the test. Since my girl is tall, I decided to leave her sleeve un-hemmed.
Isn’t it sweet?! She wore it to church last Sunday. It’s perfect with this peasant style dress! I think this style would be so cute in a faux fur! I’ve been looking for one on the thinner side to use with her Christmas dress. This cardi pattern will be so useful in extending my daughter’s short sleeve dresses into fall and winter.
This pattern will launch by Thursday morning which is when TDD’s Black Friday sale starts!
