This jacket is probably not what the designer had in mind for the Taktsang Dolman Wrap. But I just couldn’t get this vision I had for a quilted jacket out of my head. I individually quilted each pattern piece with two outer fabrics and fleece inside the sandwich. It’s thicker than the intended fit, but I am actually loving wearing it. It’s much more functional than I expected!
I omitted the neck facing and add a bias binding to finish all of the visible edges and hems. Read all about the process (it was long) and the finished product by reading my post on minerva.com.
This pattern is part of a book of 8 patterns in Kennis Wong’s book, Sew Beautiful. (I will be teaching one of the patterns from this book this winter, the Orosi Top. It’s a beautiful v-neck t-shirt!)
